This world needs life.

Jesus wept for his people.  I think Jesus still does weep for his people.  He loves us so much.

When was the last time you wept over people? Your city? Your family? Your church? Your friends? When was the last time you were broke over sin and death that plagues our world? I mean really, when was the last time you stopped to notice or do you even care?

The last few weeks I've got (sometimes it feels like HAD) to travel a lot.  Weeks away from normal, home, life and so forth have shown me that I like having my own kitchen to cook and people around this world all are pretty much the same.

I've gone from city to city and from one airplane to the next and nothing is more noticeable than the stark reality that people are hurting.

Just stop and look around.  Really stop.  Sit still and watch.  Open up your ears and listen to the conversations happening around you.  No matter what city I'm in, people are hopeless, troubled, broken, frustrated and it goes on.  Darkness dwells in our nation.

What this world doesn't need is another plan for how to end poverty or how to increase church attendance.  This world does not need a list of 10 ways to create happiness in the workplace or another trial and error process.  This world needs life.  After talking to a stranger the other afternoon it was so obvious, he just needed to know LIFE is possible.  There is joy.  There is hope.  There is a God who is bringing dead people to life.

That's my story.  That's my fullness of joy.  That's my anchor of hope.  That's my everything.

I was dead and have been brought to life because of Jesus.
