Class Notes: Internal determinants.

What I was taught in college this week:

- We have built an attractional not missional evangelism strategy.
- Evangelism still has the gospel amongst it, discipleship has lost the gospel message.
- The people of rebirth need the gospel, all people need the gospel.
[Matthew 28] Commands: 1. going/ 2. baptisting/ 3. teaching to the point of obedience/
- We are to go out (scattering) and tell Jesus --> not a "build and they will come" type solution.

Ministry success in America is often defined by:
1. Building
2. Budget
3. Baptisms
4. The absence of the gospel???

------------------------------------------------------------------------
" Your greatest problems are never around you, but always in you." -Berg.

- All the causes for our problems according to culture are external---> Jesus means internal.
- Jesus is of no relevance to you if your biggest problems are not internal.
- Jesus came for sinner; sin is a condition of the heart- internal.

External factors are not determinants. The hearts reactions are the determinant.

On the cross (bad external factor) Jesus' heart was pouring out
- the internal changed mans consequence for sin.

[[The
internal was the determinant of Christ]]

good luck reading backwards.
